Super Bowl 54 Prop Bets

Super Bowl 54 Prop Bets

Favorite Props

Depending on what sportsbook you are betting at, the props that are available to you will be different. If you are betting at a US regulated book, they will not offer any of the entertainment bets. In order to bet on most of the entertainment bets, you will have to go to an offshore book. These odds were pulled from several different books and most of them are offered at multiple books.

If I come across any more Super Bowl 54 Prop Bets that I like throughout the week I will update this list. Head over to the NFL Picks page to see all of my Super Bowl content. Also, follow me on Twitter so you don’t miss any posts.

Opening Kick Touchback
Result Odds
Yes

+175

If the Chiefs receive the opening kick off I think this pick will almost definitely going to cash. The Chiefs special team coordinator, Dave Toub, was the special team’s coordinator in Chicago when Devin Hester returned the opening kickoff in Super Bowl 41. I think that the only way the opening kick off is a touchback is if it is kicked through the back of the end zone. +175 is just too high for a prop like this.

First Offensive Play From Scrimmage
Result Odds
Run
-145
Pass
+115

Both of these teams like to throw the ball early. While both of these teams have strong running games, I think that whoever gets the ball first will try to score as fast as possible. The first offensive play to be a pass is the play in this one.

Total Punts In Game
Result Odds
Over 7.5
-115
Under 7.5
-115

If this game truly is as high scoring as everyone is saying there could be very little punting. Both these teams have been near the bottom of the league when it comes to punting the entire season. Under 7.5 punts is my play for this prop.

Both Teams To Lead In The 1st Half

Will There Be A 2nd Half Lead Change
Result Odds
Yes

Several of the props on this list are best bet together. I think that if you bet Yes on both of these bets there is a high chance of cashing. I think that there is almost no way that one team leads for the entire game. While it’s not the biggest payout if only one cashes, it makes sense to bet both. Honestly, I believe that both of these will end up cashing rather than just one.

Largest Lead Of Game
Result Odds
Over 14.5
-135
Under 14.5
+105

This bet kinda plays off of the previous bet. If you think the game will be close the entire time the under is the play. A similar play that I have seen at many books is 3 unanswered scores. While they are different bets, depending on the juice your book is offering it could be a good bet to look at.

Players With Passing Attempts

Over 2.5

Under 2.5

It seems like in recent super bowls we have seen a lot of trick plays, and passes thrown by non Quarterbacks. Both of these coaches have played in super bowls before and know the importance of a good game plan. There is definitely a good chance that we see some trick plays in this one.

Jimmy Garoppolo First Pass

Patrick Mahomes First Pass
Result Odds

One prop that I take every year is both Quarterbacks to throw an incompletion on there first attempt. I like this because betting them together gives you a higher chance of winning. For instance, in last year’s Super Bowl both Quarterbacks threw an incompletion on there first attempt. My best bet is both first passes incomplete.

Blake Bell First Reception Yardage
Result Odds
Over 1.5 Yards
-120
Under 1.5 Yards
-110

This prop is basically whether or not Blake Bell will have a reception in the game. Even though he could get a catch less than 1.5 yards, he has averaged 8.4 yards per reception this year. Even though he didn’t have a reception in the AFC Championship, he did catch passes in the four games before that. Even though you have to lay a little bit of juice, I really like this prop.

Entertainment Props

How Many Times Will Eli Manning Be Mentioned
Result Odds
Over 1.5
-120
Under 1.5
-120

I get that Eli just retired, but the super bowl is a sporting event that doesn’t have much downtime. Eli will probably be brought up once during the broadcast, but unless there is a David Tyree like catch I don’t see any reason why he would be brought up more than once. I will be taking the under 1.5 for this bet.

Andy Reid Punt/Pass/Kick Shown
Result Odds
Yes
+300
No
-500

Any time that the Chiefs play in prime time the punt pass and kick video seems to be played. Even though there is nothing connecting the Rams or LA to this game, I think that the video will be shown. Another big reason the video may be shown is that FOX rarely gets the opportunity to call Chiefs games. The juice on this bet is just to much to pass up on.

Will Winning Team Visit The White House
Result Odds
Yes
-300
No
+200

After Super Bowl 52 the Eagles White House invite was revoked after several players said they would not attend. Last year the Patriots failed to visit, but both the team and White House say this was due only to scheduling conflicts. With this said, I think the trend stops this year. Jed York, CEO of the 49ers, has already said he hopes they have the opportunity to attend. I think that the juice is low enough on this prop to put a little money on Yes.

More Commercials Shown
Result Odds
Bloomberg
-120
Trump
-120

If you have watched any TV over the past few months you have undoubtingly seen some presidential ads. I think that the chance we see multiple Trump ads is low, and the chance we see multiple Bloomberg ads is high. The money for this one seems to already have been coming in on Bloomberg at some books. I will be taking Bloomberg in this one.
