Deontay Wilder vs. Tyson Fury
WBC Heavyweight Title
Deontay Wilder (-125)
KOs: 41 (95.35%)
Tyson Fury (+105)
KOs: 20 (66.67%)
Deontay Wilder comes into this match as the slight favorite. There first fight 14 months ago ended in a draw. In the 12th round, Wilder threw a left hook that knocked Fury to the ground. The biggest advantage that Wilder has is his power. Wilder comes into this fight as the heaviest in his career and all most certainly increasing his power. If we have learned anything from his past fights it’s that he has the ability to end any fight all most instantly. It will be interesting to see how this increased weight will impact his fighting.
Tyson Fury also bulked up from the first fight coming into this one 25lbs heavier. He has said that he gained weight in hopes of going for the knock out. In fact, during weigh-ins, he said he would knock out Wilder in the second round. Fury will undoubtingly have a size advantage across the board being taller, heavier, and having a longer reach. At the end of the day, both of these fighters are heavyweights and it will be interesting to see if their size difference means anything.
This Deontay Wilder vs. Tyson Fury fight is going to be one of the biggest fights of the year and it doesn’t look like it will disappoint. I think that this will not go the distance ending with a Deontay Wilder KO. Wilder had a bit of a slow start in the first fight. I think that he will come out swinging in this one. My pick for this fight is Deontay Wilder -125.
Best Bet: Deontay Wilder -125
