While the Eagles come into this game as by far the worst playoff team, home field means so much more.
Both of these teams finished the season off pretty well. Both New Orleans and Minnesota won there last 3 games solidifying their spots in the playoffs.
Many people believe that the end of the Patriots dynasty is upon us, but I wouldn't be so quick to count out Bill Belichick and Tom Brady. We have seen time and time again people count this team out and then they make a deep playoff run.
Both Houston and Buffalo are very capable of winning this game. Houston has played some very good football this year. They have multiple signatures wins that came against both Kansas City and New England.
Both Howard and Maryland-Eastern Shore have played less than impressive this season. They combine for just 3 wins in there first 28 games to start the season. While this is probably a game that most people would just avoid, these lackluster performances have created some great value for conference play.
Both of these teams come into this game with records of 10-3 on the season. Akron moved up one spot in this week’s computer power rankings to the 104th spot. Eastern Michigan dropped 3 spots this week to the 259th spot in the country.
North Carolina State comes into this game down 2 spots as the 30th ranked team in the country, according to my computer rankings. Clemson is currently the 117th ranked team in the country. Both of these teams played decently well in non-conference play.
