ACC

49. NC State
Finished with a record of 20-12 last season
Freshman Guard Cam Hayes tops a young roster
Transfer player Thomas Allen from Nebraska
Great team to bet on last season

13. Florida State
Finished 26-5 Last season, looked to make a run in the tournament
Return most of there starters from last season
Add Freshman Forward Scottie Barnes
Leonard Hamilton could finally be his year

10. Duke
Very young team that doesn’t feature any huge names
Feels like a team that could make some noise or crash and burn

7. Virginia – Conference Champion
Defending National Champions
Sam Hauser transfers in from Marquette
Virginia comes in as the highest ranked defense on KenPom
Tony Bennett has another contender in the ACC

Big Ten

18. Ohio State
Not a great none conference schedule right now
Veteran team that wants to make some noise
Do not be surprised to see this team in the second weekend of march madness

12. Illinois
This team came out of nowhere last year
Ayo Dosunmu and  Kofi Cockburn were top scorers’ last season
Brad Underwood’s success from last year dosen’t want it to go to waste

4. Iowa
I absolutely despise this team, Luka Garza is overrated
Game against Gonzaga will show if this team is for real

6. Wisconsin – Conference Champion
Finished last season on a run that would have taken them far in the tournament
Very experienced starting 5 that features Micah Potter and Nate Reuvers
Games against Marquette and Louisville will be big games in a conference that is so competitive

Big 12

21. Texas Tech
Joel Ntambwe from UNLV and Marcus Santos-Silva from VCU
Beard is a top-notch recruiter and fields another good team
Last year wasn’t near as good as they wanted

14. Texas
Shaka Smart avoided losing his job last year
Has to prove something this year to not be on the hot seat
This team returns their entire roster from last year
Could have the most talent of any Big 12 team

5. Kansas
Silvio de Sousa is gone as a Jayhawk
Roster reminds me of the team they had in the 18-19 season
In a tough Big 12 I think they will struggle, but make a run in March

1. Baylor
It’s hard to poke many holes in Baylor’s team heading into the season
MaCio Teague will be a name to watch for Nation Player of the Year
Games against Illinois and Gonzaga will be must watch

8. West Virginia – Conference Champions
Bob Huggins had this team rolling last year
Miles McBride, Oscar Tshiebwe, Derek Culver, Emmitt Matthews Jr., and Jordan McCabe all return
This team has the most to prove in the Big 12 after finishing .500 in conference play last year

Big East

11. Creighton
Matchup against Kansas will be a big game
This team should have a top-rated offense again this season
There defense will be the difference in how far they go
Could have best season since joining the Big East

2. Villanova – Conference Champions
Jay Wright has his team reassembled
Collin Gillespie should be in talks for National Player of the year
This team is very deep and experience all the way around
Should have no problem winning the Big East and getting a 1 seed

Pac 12

25. UCLA
The Pac 12 is just a boring conference
Mick Cronin has his team ready to go in California
Expect this team to win games much like Cincinnati did a few years ago

SEC

33. Kentucky
Very young team coming into the season
I expect a season similar to North Carolina last year
However, This is nothing new to Calipari

24. Tennessee
John Fulkerson looks to lead this roster again this season
Much like there football team they could be at the top of the SEC or very Bottom
Many have them as a National Champion contender

17. Florida – Conference Champions
In a down year for the SEC I like Florida to win it
Keyontae Johnson, Scottie Lewis, Noah Locke, Tre Mann, Ques Glover, Omar Payne all return to this team
If they get their tempo going this year, they can win the SEC
Will definitely be a problem in the tournament

National Champion

3. Gonzaga – National Champions
Easily May favorite Team going into the Season
Non-Conference games against Kansas, Auburn, Baylor, and Iowa
Should have no problem getting through the WCC
Mark Few could be looking at Coach of the Year soon
