Picks 1-8
Joe Burrow and Chase Young are both all but locked into the first two picks in the Draft. After that, anyone has a shot to get there name called. These first 8 teams all have needs that can be met with these high picks, but I would be surprised if at least one of them doesn’t trade out. One of the strongest positions at the top of this draft is OT. There are 4 players that could all have their names called early on. The only real surprise I have in the top of this draft is Justin Herbert going at 5 to the Dolphins, and Tua falling out of the top 8.
Picks 9-16
The next part of this draft is headlined by Tua Tagovailoa who was at one time considered a potential number 1 pick. In this part of the draft, we see 3 WR’s come off the board. Between Ceedee Lamb, Jerry Jeudy, and Henry Ruggs III it is hard to choose who is best. We also see a couple of teams pick up some big guys to protect there team.
Picks 17-24
At this point, we are halfway through the 2020 NFL Mock Draft and have already seen some big names called. The biggest one in this section is the patriots calling Jordan Love’s name to replace Tom Brady in New England. We also see three more players from the LSU National Championship Team come off the board.
Picks 25-32
As the final picks of the day start to come up, we see a few big names still left on the board. In this round two of the biggest LB’s in the draft get there names called with Patrick Queen going to the Ravens, and Kenneth Murray going to the Chiefs. As the first round of the NFL draft comes to a close, we see a lot of defensive players come off the board.
